Here is the press release the links for directions and how to buy tickets work. For more information check out their website.

Sunday, August 21st
11AM - 4PM
South St. between Beekman St. and Peck Slip
This week we're thrilled to present 10 of the most innovative local ice cream makers at our 2nd annual ICE CREAM SUNDAY fundraiser, including The Bent Spoon from Princeton, NJ, who helped inaugurate our very first New Amsterdam Market in 2007 and have been market regulars ever since.

When Gabrielle Carbone and Matt Errico opened The Bent Spoon in 2004, they were true pioneers in sourcing their milk and eggs directly from local farmers and using only the most seasonal ingredients to showcase the flavors of New Jersey.

Luckily these practices have taken root among other fine food purveyors of the region, and on Sunday, you can savor the summer flavors of New York with delectable treats made especially for the Market by these talented artisans:

Gabrielle Carbone of The Bent Spoon
Sarah Cox of Blue Bottle Coffee
Amy Miller of Early Bird Cookery
Avery Wittkamp of Marlow & Sons
Walter Youngblood of KINGLeche Crèmes
 Fany Gerson of La Newyorkina
Meredith Kurtzman of Otto Entoeca Pizzeria
Matt Downes of Steve's Ice Cream
Sophia Brittan of Victory Garden NYC

The bounty of flavors will include beach plums (one of our only truly native fruits); verbena blackcurrent swirl; roasted apricot; tomato sorbet; and every type of peach imaginable.

Cast your vote for the People's Choice award, and stick around to find out what gets chosen as the most creative seasonal flavor by our very special panel of judges--Gabrielle Langholtz of Edible Manhattan, Anne Saxelby of Saxelby Cheesemongers, and Jeffrey Steingarten of Vogue!

TICKETS - advance purchase is required
Early Admission (12NOON-4PM) $35 for 10 tasting tickets
General Admission (1PM-4PM) $25 for 8 tasting tickets

Special thanks to Steve's Ice Cream for lending us their freezer truck and making this event possible!

Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit New Amsterdam Market, a non-profit 501(c)3.

Until Sunday,
New Amsterdam Market
