My friend Philip is a librarian and he sent me these images. I thought they were hysterical.  First off: pictures by Dick Dodge?  For real?  That's someone's real name?  It all seems sort of, well let's just say naive, and leave it at that, shall we?

Can you believe they actually wasted paper on how to prepare raw carrot sticks?  Really? How far we have come since 1957 when this book was published.
