These statues are all around the Flatiron/Madison square area and I notice them every time I walk from my shrink to yoga on Tuesdays. Over the last couple of months I keep noticing ones I had seen before and take a picture. They are all over town as part of an art installation by British Artist Anthony Gormley called
Event Horizon. I find them to be haunting and love how they seem to be everywhere overseeing things, yet then there they are right in front of you. I'm sure there is a huge essay about all of it in art-speak, but, well, I just think they're cool.
The installation ends August 15th.
