On the edge of the Tiergaten in Berlin, across the way from the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe is a pathway leading a little way into the park where, a few yards in is the Homo Monument, a simple gray cement box that as you approach you can see the flickering light of a film being projected inside the box.
As you reach the window and peer in you see a tape loop...
..of two men kissing, simple, direct and to the point. Gay and Lesbian people were put in concentration camp and killed for by the Nazis. Much to do was made because this memorial initial showed to women kissing so now every two years it will alternate between men kissing and women kissing. Germany is so cool
