May She Rest In Peace: Wangari Maathai Dies of Cancer at 71

Over the years I have posted several videos of this incredibly inspiring, wicked smart and very brave Noble Peace Prize winning woman speaking out on any number of issues. Wangari Maathai was best known for her environmental activism, she founded the Greenbelt Movement in Kenya.  Maathai was never one to be limited and spoke out where ever she saw injustice.

We are all diminished by her passing.  She will be missed, but she will never be forgotten.  Maathai died September 25th in Nairobi.
