Rhong - Tiam

This is the third location for this Thai restaurant that many feel is one of the best in town. They started out in the West Village then moved to the East Village for a very short stint and now are at 154 Orchard Street between Rivington and Stanton.  The first thing you will notice when you look at Rhong-Tiam's menu is that they use organic chicken and grass fed beef.   I am unaware of any other Thai restaurant in NYC that uses such high quality ingredients.  The menu isn't really all that Thai - more fusion, with Chicken nuggets, Thai Chorizo, Water Spinach on Fire, Thai Tacos and General Tso Chicken.... something for everyone.

Right now they are waiting for construction to finish up before the garden opens - it is the only sitting area so it's just take out for now.  Open until 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday perfect for all those drunken late night food cravings.

I can't wait for the garden to open to go have dinner, although given how scorchingly hot it has gotten so quickly I think maybe I'll start out by ordering in and eating it in front of the a/c!
