Iron Chefs At The White House

Look at that outfit! You just have to love Michelle Obama who has the Iron Chefs doing a competition using food grown in the White House Garden.

Marion Burros article in the Times conveys the obvious sense of fun and excitement these chefs feel in being part of this unique White House event. I think it's just great that in her mission to raise consciousness about childhood obesity, healthy eating, improve school food programs that Ms. Obama is doing a guest stint on iron Chef.

My favorite line in the article is the only time Ms. Burros get's a little bitchy:

Mr. Batali, who might seem an unlikely spokesman for eating in moderation, has thrown himself into the project.
